PuriFile v3.2 now available
Highlights of this new release (relative to the prior 3.1.5) include the following...
| Full recursive analysis of ZIP and TAR files |
This makes it possible to pass in a single archive and receive back a report showing the results of a full inspection of every file it contains. |
| Support for MSG format |
These file types are created when saving e-mails from Outlook, including any/all attachments. |
| Complete "dirty word" scans of every file |
Previous versions of PuriFile would perform dirty word scans only on Word, PowerPoint, Excel and PDF. Now, every file is checked. |
| Stronger file type detection |
Two different file type analysis algorithms are used, providing the best possible determination of what kind of files were submitted, and what format embedded objects are in. |
| Easier installation and upgrade |
Both these changes mean less work for tool administrators. |
| Support of SSL via the Assistants |
PuriFile now provides secure communications and the convenience of the Assistants. |
| Now available as stand-alone version |
Also sometimes referred to as single-seat licensing, this may be the best purchase option for small businesses and limited use offices. |
| Expanded admin section to manual |
New sections have been added, and many have been re-worked, with a focus on detailing the many options available to the site administrator. |
Downloads of the full product are available from the "Try it" link on the right side of the page. If you are new to this process, you will need to apply for an account (it's easy).
Note: Existing customers that have an active support contract are entitled to this release at no charge. You should be able to continue easily with your existing license key.
